Lane M. Cook, M.D.
Dr. Cook was born and raised in east Texas. He
did his psychiatry residency at Baylor College
of Medicine in Houston. He received his board
certifcation and was Chief of Emergency
Psychiatry at Ben Taub General Hospital and
an Assistant Clinical Professor at Baylor
College of Medicine. He moved to Knoxville
and has worked at Helen Ross McNabb,
Peninsula Hospital and his own outpatient
private practice. In 2013 he opened the first
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation clinic, TMS
of Knoxville with a Neurostar device. In 2015
he purchased the first MagVenture TMS device
from Denmark east of the Mississippi. Along
with his best friend and TMS Coordinator Terry
Chumley they have treated over 300 patients
with treatment-resistant depression. A frequent
lecturer for pharmaceutical companies and the
annual Mental Health Association’s Fall
Psychiatric Symposium, UT Medical Center,
LMU Caylor School of Nursing, he’s been a
preceptor for and supervises three Psychiatric
Mental Health Nurse Practitioners,
Regan Christenson, Kate Sullivan and Kelsey
Wallace.
Regan
Christenson, APRN
Regan Christenson joined our practice
July 31, 2023 after Carolyn Mitchell,
APRN retired and will assume care for most of
her patients as well as accepting new patients.
She has worked for Helen Ross McNabb
Center, Cherokee Health and comes to us from
the UT Student Counseling Center.
Terry Chumley, B.A.,
TMS Coordinator
Terry Chumley is our TMS Coordinator and
chief technician. Originally from Jacksonville,
Florida, Terry moved to Knoxville and has
worked in mental health for many years. His
work history includes Peninsula Hospital, the
former Baptist Hospital’s psychiatric unit,
Ridgeview Mental Health Center and our
practice.
Kelly Booth, Office
Manager
Kelly Booth is our office manager
since 2020. She has worked previously
with outpatient medical clinics including
Summit Medical and The University of
Tennessee Medical Center. She is the heartbeat
of our office.Her favorite animal
is a sea turtle.
Jenna Chollman, receptionist
Jenna comes to us through Kelly Booth, our
office manager. She is holding the fort at the
window, checking patients in and out, doing
administrative work and will be in training as a
relief TMS tech. She is our summer intern,
planning on attending MTSU this fall, 2024.
